Caymanas River
A popular river-swimming spot near Caymanas Park, about 30 minutes from Kingston, with cold clear water, deep and shallow areas, food and drinks on site, and rentals of life vests and floats. Reports differ on how natural it feels: one visitor found it treated like a large pool, while another listing describes a spring-fed lagoon with a rope swing.
Getting there
Easy. Road access. One visitor reported entry of about J$500 for adults and J$300 for children Monday to Saturday, and about double on Sundays and public holidays, so confirm on arrival. Go early on a weekday, as weekends turn into a party crowd. Depths range up to about 20 feet, so deeper areas are for strong swimmers, and children need close supervision. Bring few valuables. It can be hard to find on Google Maps, and locals suggest searching Caymanas Mineral Bath.
