Holywell Park
A cool mountain park beside Hardwar Gap in the Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park, about an hour from Kingston. There are marked forest trails, picnic spots, birdwatching and a chilly plunge pool on the Cascade Water Trail.
Getting there
Easy to moderate. The road climbs through the Blue Mountains, so go on a clear day and avoid it in heavy rain. It is cool and often misty, so bring a jacket, and views can be clouded over. Hours and entry fees are reported differently, so confirm first.
